Fairy tail alive in Bavaria

When saying that every village in Germany has it's own castle, I'm not really exaggerating that much here. highly doubt that I've managed to see even half of them, though I can assure you that this Bavarian piece of #architectureporn is, if not the best, then definitely makes it to the top 3 of the most significant ones. Schloss Neuschwanstein (New Swanstone Castle) was built in 19th century by Ludwig II in the far South of Germany, not far from the Austrian border. annually this masterpiece of castle romanticism attracts hundred thousands of tourists, who are willing to go through a descent work-out climbing up the hill (the only alternative is renting a horse carriage) to pay a 35-minutes (the maximum length of excursion) visit to the royal premises or just to take numerous pictures. that's of course what I did (at least have tried struggling the weather) using all of my devices, attempting to capture the famous silhouette, cause for the majority Neuschwanstein is known as a prototype to the...scroll down and try to guess ;)

ok, so here's a picture without snow, taken from another point, that might help you to guess...

looks like Disneyworld castle, isn't it? but that's the original :)

the way to castle traditionally lies through the forest

to your concern I wasn't trying to be a hardcore hipster :), just wasn't ready at all to suddenly find myself in the middle of this winter wonderland. still can't get used to the fact, that the weather within 1-hour drive can can change so dramatically

it felt so good that I fell asleep haha

Füssen and Neuschwanstein are inseparable, if you come see the castle, you then go visit this theatrical looking town, that is apparently also known for it's violin-making industry

Pictures are taken by me and Tattee
